Tour Overview
The non-participatory mokoro safari takes you to the tip of the Okavango Delta where you
will witness a combination of aquatic wildlife, amazing bird species, breath-taking landscapes,
tranquil sunrise and sunsets, and amazing star gazing, all in all summed up in one word:
unforgettable! We will visit the Eastern delta in a community-controlled wilderness area. We
work with some of the most experienced polers’ who have mastered the channels as well as
being astute in co-existing with aquatic wildlife. Moremi Game Reserve is home to one of the
world’s great wildlife species making the area spectacular game viewing and bird watching,
including all major naturally occurring herbivore and carnivore species in the region, and over
400 species of birds, many migratory and some endangered. Both Black and White Rhino,
while rare to spot, have recently been re-introduced, now making the reserve a ‘Big Five’
destination. Central Kalahari Game Reserve boasts an amazing variety of birds, believe:
Secretary bird, Kori Bustard and Ostrich are the most prominent of the species to be spotted,
with good chances of seeing Lapped-faced Vulture and White-backed Vulture too.
