Over 7 days, guests will spend nights in some of the world’s most sought-after wilderness areas:
• 2 nights on Khwai/Moremi
• 2 nights Savuti
• 2 nights Chobe National Park
Kasane – Botswana
Maun – Botswana
The penultimate leg of the tour will be destined for the Moremi Game Reserve, your morning will
be met with an early departure to Khwai and The Moremi Game Reserve. You will spend the next
two days viewing the wide variety of wildlife and birds that this area is renowned for, while
absorbing the sounds and beauty of this region. Moremi ranks as one of the most beautiful
reserves in Africa, possibly in the world. Your game drives will be conducted in the early morning
as the sun rises and in the late afternoon as the sun sets to catch a glimpse of the nocturnal
predators as they get out of the shadows in preparation for their next meal. Camping will be in
designated campsites with en-suite bush ablutions on every tent for yoursafety and convenience.
You will leave camp in the morning for Chobe National Park, with its diverse and striking
landscapes, via Savuti on a journey of about 6 hours. The Savute Marsh is the deepest part of the
Mababe Depression and it is the only part to have filled up with water in recent history. Today
the marsh is dry and attracts a large population of predators such as lion, leopard, cheetah,
hyenas and even African wild dog. The Savute channel has a fascinating history of flooding and
drying up independently of good, rainy seasons and flood levels elsewhere, a mystery that has
intrigued geologists for many years. As you continue your search for wildlife, you will traverse
the drier region of Savuti where bull elephants dot the plains. Your Guide will take you through
a drive of a life time filled with in-depth knowledge sharing of the area as well as its wildlife.
Your journey will continue and you will be destined for the Chobe National Park via the Chobe
River where your game drives will meander along the banks of the river. The Chobe River Flood
plain is an amazing game viewing area where water attracts large herds of buffalo, elephant,
zebra and other herbivores. Due to the proliferation of prey, predators are likely to be close at
hand. Sun sets in this region as always spectacular and allow amazing photographic
opportunities. Your trip will last for approximately 5 hours in which your Guide will share with
you some amazing stories including the history of David Livingstone, who in November 1855,
together with his 114 porters, left the Linyanti / Chobe for the Great Falls east of Sesheke; the
falls of Mosi-oa-Tunya “The smoke that thunders”, the Victoria Falls
The final leg of your safari officially ends in Kasane, commonly It’s the gateway to Chobe National
Park, known for the herds of elephants which converge on the Chobe River in the dry season. You
will be treated to a cruise on the Okavango Delta. This experience allows you to get a closer look
at the aquatic animals and birds not easily approached on safari. It is from Maun that you can
catch you flight to en-route to your next destination.
